After Form 5, received aviation
training in Singapore and was commissioned as a Pilot Officer.

After further training in the UK
and Lebanon, was a licensed Air Traffic Controller and a
Pilot.

Held various positions in the
Civil Aviation Department of Malaysia and retired in 1992 as
Deputy Regional Director of Civil Aviation. Subsequently
appointed Director of Sabah Air.
